How can I place an order?

You have three options for ordering goods from us:

You can log in as a "guest" and place your order.  You can create a customer account to simplify the ordering process. This has the following advantages

Easy login with your personal password for the next order without re-entering your data
Track current orders and their status
Purchase order history: Overview of past purchase orders
Storage of multiple shipping addresses possible
Storage of a wish list

You can place an order by phone or e-mail. Simply contact our customer service or use our order form.

What data is stored when ordering?

When you access the guest account, we store your personal data (name, address, e-mail address and, in the case of payment by credit card, your credit card data) only until the complete fulfilment of the purchase contract, i. e. until the dispatch of your ordered goods. The accounting data required for accounting purposes is then processed in the Ruhr-Universität's accounting system in accordance with the commercial and tax regulations. We do not use your data for any other purpose than this order. Once the order process is complete, your data will be deleted from the ordering system after the legally prescribed storage obligation for order transactions.

When creating a customer account, we store your personal data (name, address, e-mail address, user name and a self-chosen password) for future orders only with your prior consent. You can view, edit, revoke this consent at any time via your customer account under "My data" and arrange for the deletion of all associated data records, as far as no legal obligation to keep this data is opposed.

Can I change or cancel an existing order?

To change or cancel an already completed order, please contact our customer service team directly by email or phone.

 

2. Shipping and delivery time

How and at what costs do I receive the goods?

The RUB Unishop ships products within Germany by DHL Paket. For deliveries within Germany, you can of course specify the option "Delivery to a Packstation" as the delivery address. Please note: If you specify a packing station as the delivery address, shipping is only possible via DHL and within Germany. Furthermore, payment by cash on delivery is unfortunately not possible.

The following costs are due for payment.

The transport risk is borne by the consignor.

 

How long does it take for my order to arrive?

As a rule, you will receive your goods within 2-4 working days after receipt of your order. If your desired article is not in stock, we will try to reorder it. This process takes some time and the delivery time can be extended by 10 to 14 days. However, we always try to send you your desired article as soon as possible.

How do I know if my order was received in the online shop?

As soon as you have submitted your order online, you will receive an order confirmation by e-mail that summarizes your purchase.

To ensure that you are always fully informed, you will also receive an e-mail as soon as your order leaves our logistics centre. This e-mail contains the shipment number with which you can track the shipment online at any time via our logistics partner.

 

3. Payment 

Regardless of the choice of your payment, you first pay into an account of our logistics partner at the shipping company, which forwards all incoming payments to the Ruhr-Universität Bochum.

How does the payment by invoice work?

You can pay safely and conveniently by invoice.

You will get your goods delivered to your home and pay later (in case of payment on invoice it will be due within 14 days after receipt of the goods)

You do not need to disclose sensitive account or credit card data on the Internet.

No additional registration, membership or account is required to pay by invoice.

Please make sure that you state your invoice and customer number in the purpose of payment and always transfer different orders separately. This is the only way we can assign your payment correctly. If you return one or more items, the value of the goods will be credited back to the bank account from which you transferred.

How do I pay by credit card?

We accept Mastercard and Visa. Your credit card account will not be debited with the corresponding invoice amount until the goods have been shipped. In case of returns, according to § 9, the amount will be automatically credited to your credit card account after the goods have been checked.

How does the payment from international countries work?

Invoices are issued in euros. The prices shown in the shop including sales tax are also valid for orders outside Germany. A refund of VAT is not possible. For the individual articles in the shopping cart, the following may apply different VAT rates.

 

4. Reclamation / return shipment

How can I claim an article?

In order to be able to process this procedure as quickly and easily as possible, please call us or send us an e-mail with a short description of how the defect/defect arose.

How much time do I have to make use of my right of return?

In principle, you have 14 days after receipt of the goods to try them on and send them back to us in case of non-deliberate to us or exchange them into another size. We want you to be satisfied with your choice and feel comfortable with it. If you are unsure about the colors, size or fit, we will be happy to hear from you and will try to help you as best we can.

How can I return my goods?

You will receive a return note and sticker with your order. If you would like to return an item, please fill out the return note and put it together with the item in its original packaging in a shipping carton.

Stick the return label on the shipping carton. Please make sure that the label with which we sent your order is no longer visible. Return the return shipment to a DHL post office or a DHL Packstation. It is possible to insert a return shipment into a DHL Packstation without prior registration on MeinPaket. de. After successful posting of the return, you can also receive a posting document here. We will pay the shipping costs for you.

As soon as we receive your return shipment, you will receive a confirmation of receipt by e-mail.

Can I return my order from the online shop in the Unishop at the Infopoint/ foyer of the administration building or at the Blue Square Store in downtown Bochum?

Yes, you can easily return your purchase to one of the two shops with the help of your delivery note. Please note that the same conditions apply as for a regular returned order from the online shop. This applies, however, to the condition of the goods without delay, the set return period and the refund of the amount paid on the means of payment you previously used. Unfortunately, it is not possible to pay out the amount in cash or refund fees previously incurred in the shops.
